1) Architectural Technologist – Bedrock Homes, Edmonton – Full Time

Bedrock Homes is currently seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our dynamic team of professionals.
Architectural Technologist Qualifications/Experience:
– Completion of an Architectural Technology diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution.
– 5 years’ experience in Single Family Residential Construction drafting.
– Proficient in SoftPlan or AutoCAD.
– Ability to create high quality architectural drawings and construction details.
– Experience working for a model home builder is preferred.
– A knowledge of permit applications and city approval process is an asset.
– In-depth knowledge of the Alberta Building Code, Part 9.
– Familiar with understanding and applying Bylaw requirements; knowledge of Architectural Guidelines is an asset.
– Has an understanding of truss and joist layouts, engineering details, and plot plans.
– Familiar with current Fire Safety construction requirements for Edmonton and surrounding communities.
– Confident in working independently and in a team environment.
– Able to communicate efficiently in a professional manner – verbal and written.

Architectural Technologist Responsibilities:
– Creating and altering working drawings for single family homes, duplexes, and townhomes.
– Collaborate with suppliers and engineers to obtain all necessary documentation for development and building permit applications.
– Work in close proximity with sales personnel and a construction team to customize floor plans and problem solve construction issues.
– Seeing all architectural projects and permits applications to completion, addressing and overcoming obstacles that may arise due to bylaw requirements, code requirements, customer preferences, grading issues, etc.
– Potential for the position to also encompass house plan designing and mentorship to junior drafters.

2) Assistant Site Superintendent – Bedrock Homes, Edmonton – Full Time

Bedrock Homes is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Superintendent for single family residential construction.

Assistant Site Superintendent Qualifications/Experience:
– Minimum 3 years’ experience in single family residential construction.
– General knowledge of the Alberta Building Code.
– Thorough understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts.
– Expert ability in accurately interpreting project specifications and plans.
– Proven adaptability to manage priorities and sequencing in a changing work environment impacted by external business conditions.
– Carpentry experience and the use of general power tools is essential
– Meticulous attention to detail.
– Self-starter with ability to set and direct goals and tasks.
– Proven skills in leadership, communication, and problem solving.
– Exceptional organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
– A valid driver’s license (no GDL) and clean driver’s abstract.
– Requires personal reliable transportation, preferably a truck, and must be no more than 10 years old.
– Safety qualifications and tickets.

Assistant Site Superintendent Responsibilities:
– Supervising residential construction of single family homes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

3) Graphic Designer – Bedrock Homes, Edmonton – Full Time

The Graphic Designer will report to the Marketing Manager and be an integral contributor in the planning and preparation of print and web advertisements and promotional materials. The ideal candidate will be creative, innovative, and a strong graphic design professional with excellent communication and organizational skills along with the ability to work in a fast paced, market driven environment.

Graphic Designer Responsibilities:
– Ensure a consistent, on-brand visual aesthetic across all touch points.
– Develop marketing collateral for web and print, such as brochures, direct mailers, print ads, banners, email templates, landing pages and other channels.
– Plan production schedules and workflow for the entire design process.
– Integrate multimedia concepts with technical graphic design elements, as appropriate.
– Work with specs and prep print-ready files.
– Identify, source, and select vendors/service providers for printing and publication services, as necessary (e.g. illustrators, printers, typesetters, photographers, etc.).
– Select the appropriate media and materials (e.g. paper, ink, etc.).
– Inspect proofs for accuracy and adherence to corporate standards.
– Participate in marketing strategic planning meetings on a project-by-project basis.
– Coordinate and maintain a library of graphics, media, digital records, and other enterprise content.

Graphic Designer Qualifications/Experience:
– Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design from an accredited post-secondary educational institution.
– Minimum of three years’ experience as a graphic designer is required.
– Must be fluent in Adobe Creative Suite in a PC environment.
– Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary.
– Ability to create superior, original designs for print and Web.
– Ability to articulate and execute a design vision on demand with limited direction.
– Strong knowledge of page layout and photographic requirements.
– Good understanding of branding and visual identity.
– Strong knowledge of printing/publishing procedures and standards.

4) Sales Associate (New Home Sales), Full time, Sherwood Park

Bedrock Homes has an upcoming opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious Sales Associate with the desire for advancement and personal growth in new home sales. This opportunity requires a results oriented, driven individual, who thrives on accepting new challenges.

Reporting to the Area Manager, our Sales Associate will be a part of a team that is responsible for the day to day operations of the show home sales centre. The Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to existing and potential customers that result in a high level of customer satisfaction while demonstrating respect and professionalism. The Sales Associate will be part of a training program and mentored by an Area Manager.

We are currently taking applications for one full time position with experience in new home sales. You must have reliable transportation and be available to work Monday – Thursday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, as well as Saturday, Sunday and holiday Mondays 12:00 PM to 5:00PM.
